Jolene had a tough weekend. On Friday during lunch she temporary lost control of her hands and her speech. I (Savanna) called my Dad at school then the nurse. The nurse wasn't worried it was to be expected. Just one more step in the process. She came out and gave us some morphine pills and instructions on how to use them.
On Saturday she had some pains so Dad and Marie worked on getting the pain controlled while I was at work. Saturday night we finally got on top of the pain. Now as long as she gets her pills she sleeps with no pain at all. Mom is weak but we're all ready to jump at the chance to help her out. She mostly just sleeps in bed getting up to take her meds and visit the restroom.
Mom has not eaten since lunch on Friday. As long as she gets her medication she doesn't feel the pain.
We thank you again for all your prayers on our behalf. There is a special spirit in our home that we are aware and very grateful for. The gospel of Jesus Christ is such a blessing it us. It brings such an undeniable peace to our lives as we face the each new obstacle with Mom. Our Ward members, family and friends also bring us much needed peace with their constant offerings of help. Because of them we are better able to focus on being with Mom instead of being with Mom and worrying about meals to cook.
Your prayers are heard and we feel them. Thank you.

While facing the ultimate of challenges, the Davidson family steps up to the plate. I'm so glad you have that peaceful spirit in your home when you need it the most. Give your mom a hug and tell her the Holmans continue prayers in her and your family's behalf every day. Love you guys, Siri
Hey, your old piano teacher here, Alicia! I'm sorry to hear about your Mom and wife. I've always admired Jolene, even as a teenager. I know this time is extremely difficult; my family went through something very similar with my dad just two short years ago. The gospel is definitely the glue that holds you together. I'm glad to hear that you all have such strong testimonies. I'm praying for you!
Dear Davidson family-
Hey, your old babysitter, here, Robbie (Holman) Andersen. I've been following your blog for a few weeks now, and am so sorry. Your mom is such an amazing, fun, wonderful woman. She was such a great church leader and friend to me growing up. It breaks my heart to hear all that she is going through right now. I am so sorry for all of you, as I know what a close family you are.
I haven't been in touch for many years, but I have many great memories of your family. I remember visiting soon after Marie was born (are you really going to be a Senior? Unbelieveable!), and getting to hold her. I always loved to babysit you girls- you were such nice, fun kids. I remember that you always had a framed Mormonad poster on the wall in your dining room. Your home was always a place of happiness and peace, and you, Ron and Jolene, were such great parents, who loved each other and your kids.
Please tell Jolene that I am thinking of and praying for her (and all of you). I hope that you all have peace and comfort at this difficult time.
Love, Robbie
I just got back in town and hurried to check out your blog. It is so nice to have an update on Jolene's progress. I have thought about her constantly this past week and your family as well. My prayers are continually with you and hope that the comforting spirit will continue to be with all of you through this tough process. I love you guys and want you to know what a wonderful example you are to so many. You are AWESOME! Please give Jolene a BIG hug for me "K"

There was such a sweet, loving, warm spirit in your home the last time I was there. It is amazing how angels come to help out in times of great need. We felt that spirit when we went through this 5 years ago. The Lord will continue to bless you and help you through each hard time. I know YOU CAN DO IT because you have a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. We love you guys and you are in our thoughts and prayers daily.
Dear Davidson family, thank you so much for keeping up this blog. I read it every Monday and appreciate your updates on Jolene. We pray for her and she's constantly in our thoughts!

Thanks so much for keeping us up to date with your wonderful blog. I'm a fellow librarian who met Jolene while we were working on our school library endorsements. We had a lot of fun in those classes, and I especially appreciate how quickly Jolene became my friend. She is an amazing person and a strong example for me in so many ways. Please give Jolene my love and tell her that she and your family are in my prayers constantly. Love Bev Stout
Please wrap your arms around your mom and give her a big hug from her cousins Lothaire & Connie Bluth, and tell her we love her and pray for her and for you every day!
Please know that your family continues to be in our prayers, and please give our love to Jolene. You are an amazing family!

Dear Davidsons, thank you for keeping us updated on this blog. I know it takes time and effort to do so, but I surely appreciate it.
Jolene, what can I say? I just want to wish you peace and hope that you are not in pain. You are such a wonderful person and I'm so grateful I got to know you when you were little. My memories of you and all your family are wonderful happy ones. May the Lord bless you all.
Ivonne
