Happy Birthday Jim!!!! 70 years old!!!! Ron and I enjoyed celebrating by eating dinner at Porter’s in Lehi last night. It is always fun to get together with family! We are grateful to Jim and the great example he is to our family! We are thankful to be part of such a loving and supportive family.
It was a good weekend for our football teams….Skyline won, Bingham won, BYU won, and Utah won!!!! Even Utah State won!!!! Too bad that ASU lost to Georgia! Hopefully ASU will win their next game!
A moment of silence…Dora (the little red car) may have died last night! Savanna was driving to see a friend and as she was near the Draper exit she heard something and the “check engine light” came on. Ron was able to go and rescue her and tow Dora home….there was a large puddle of oil underneath the car so Ron thinks that it is something major! That car has served us well for the past few years, but it may be time to put it out of its misery. Ron will take a closer look at it when he gets some time and then decide what Dora’s fate will be. So now Savanna will be walking everywhere in Provo, luckily she is scheduled to do her next practicum experience at Jordan Ridge, which is within walking distance from our home, so we should be able to get by for a few months.
Savanna continues to stay busy with school and work. She worked 12 hours at the MTC on Saturday…
Marie continues to juggle school, work, lacrosse, and YW. She enjoyed going to a 1970’s birthday party last night. Marie is looking forward to a day off from school on Friday, but she probably be catching up on homework and working.
Ron enjoyed listening the to Utah football game on Saturday, he wore his Utah shirt all day!!! Luckily they beat Air Force in the final minutes of the game. Teaching 4th grade and attending the U are keeping Ron busy. Just a few more months and he will be done with his classes and have his masters degree!
I continue to stay busy with school, the lacrosse parent committee, and being the mom. I was exhausted this week since Sally was gone Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Sally’s daughter got married on Wednesday and I was able to meet her family at the reception. It was very nice, but I sure did miss Sally and all of her help, it seems that the library is always busy and students and staff need constant help. This week I will be busy with parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday. Even though I don’t meet with parents there are many things for me to work on and help with during conferences. I will be looking forward to a day off on Friday too!
Enjoy your week…..we sure do love and appreciate each of you!
